Pours a hazy yellow color. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel and dark fruit aroma. Sweetish malty spicy grainy caramel flavor.

Bottled (from BDX). Deep golden colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some mild wooden and mildly honeyish-hay like notes with some mild maltiness as well. Flavour is quite similar, but has a big grainy/bready kind of maltiness to it

Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma is peachy hops and a grainy sweetness. Taste is again peachy hops and a heller-bock-typical sweetness. Refreshing. Medium carbonation. Not bad.

50cl bottle from Sunninghill Wines. A hazy straw coloured pour with a thick cream head; sweet aroma with some tropical fruit and banana; sweet and smooth in the mouth with a banana caramel taste and a milkshake consistency; some grassy hops towards the finish then lingering caramel.

0,5 l bottle. Unclear pale golden in the glass, one finger white foamy head. Some ripe fruits on the nose. Taste starts with malt, grain and hay. Some fruity elements and alcohlic sharpness in the second part. Not bad. But I have some problems with the "brewers" world wide philosophy.

50 cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grassy, straw and cornish. Bitter, light fruity, grassy. Toasted malt. Bitter and light cornish finish.

500ml bottle. Milky, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Strawy, yeasty and slightly fruity aroma, hints of mandarine, pale malty basis. Taste is slightly grainy, strawy, minimally sweet fruity, a touch of mandarine, grassy hoppy overtones.

Süßlich herber Antrunk. Hell würzig, die Süüe befindet sich gerade noch im angenehmen Rahmen. Grasige Beinoten, deutlich getreidig. Zum Ende spürbar alkoholisch, nicht brennend aber doch störend. 11/10/10/7/8/10

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Opaque gold. Swirl of creamy white. Very sweet, fruity, grain. Some vanilla. Taste is soggy sweet. Some vegetal bitterness. Sweet, chewy palate. Finishes mostly sweet, with a touch of bitterness. Not my cup of tea this.

Clear golden coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of metal, light malt, earth, mushrooms and a bit of grassy light hops. Light to Medium-bodied; Metallic flavour up front with a light earthy malt, some light sugars and a touch of fruit noticeable. Aftertaste shows just some malty and earth flavours with only a little grain and hop flavours at the tail end. Overall, a relatively well-balanced beer with more of a metallic and earthy note than most Hellers, but not bad to try - I was initially upset that this said brewed in Bavaria (given that I just left Munich to come here), but I hope it has at least something to do with Cape Town. I sampled this 500 mL bottle, best before 18-March-2016, purchased earlier today at Simon’s Town Bottle Shop in Simon’s Town (Cape Town), Western Cape, South Africa on 13-August-2015 for ZAR32,90 sampled in my hotel room here in Central Cape Town later in the evening.
