Bottle at Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours a deep clear red with a thick pink white head. Aromas of some tart cherries, fruity sweetness, some yeast and some stale-like notes. Taste is pretty tart up front but a floral fruity sweetness takes over pretty fast. This is delicious! Finish is pretty tart and very dry. Slightly funky and yeasty. Long-lasting tart fruits in the back of the tongue. Yummy!

Bottle shared in 2019. Pours dark redpink, small white head. Smell is cherry, candy, intense, sweet-ish, yet not arteficially sweetened , nor sugar. Complex and aged. Taste is full, sweet and sour, dry, oaky, aged, beautifull cherry character. This is what you hope for when ageing beers !

Aroma has cherry, almond and oak. Very vinous. Sour, with a small amount of remaining sweetness. Cherry, ineapple and citrus flavors in a truly traditional lambic, whose loss has to be mourned by every beer lover. 2007 version, tasted in feb 2009. Clear ruby red color. Cherry, cherry pits and a hint of marzipan in the aroma. Thin but sour. Cherry restricted to the background in the flavor. Bone dry with vinous notes, marzipan, oak and lemon. Could be bether, though worthy of the name Oud Beersel 8 4 8 3 15 = 3.8 Tasted a 2001 bottle in august 2017. Has kept remarkably well. Cherry aromas and flavors have faded somewhat, allowing to develop a vinous like sourness. Complex. Medium sour.

Handles way better than the 1999 oude geuze, but has some oxidation and dusty flavor(?)
