100ml draught at Taphouse. Bubbles on the surface of a golden-brown body, misty. Fair lacing. Mid-sweet and dry aroma of dried fruits and brown malts. Taste of almond, apricot, raisin and caramel malts. Dried fruity ending. Full bodied, but does not feel that strong. Decent, on the sweet side though. (Copenhagen 25.11.2018).

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of caramel, hops, spices, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, alcohol, hops, citrus fruits, and spices, leading to a bitter finish.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Amber golden pour with a white head. Sweet malty with some notes of dried fruit, some honey and caramel sweetness, medium body, a real warming to boozy kick at the end.

330ml bottle. Pours a murky red-brown with a small, short lived, creamy, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of bready malt, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, raisins, dates, figs and plums. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, toffee, brown sugar, dried fruit, plums, overripe fruit and light spice with a dry, warming booze finish. Medium to full body with a smooth, yet sticky texture and soft carbonation. At 15.1% ABV this is a big-boy barley wine, but is dangerously easy to drink. Well made and tasty, sweet but not cloying. Aging this would make it even better.

Aus der Flasche (batch 2015-12) am 2017-03 getrunken. Das erste Wort was mir hier einfällt ist: FETT! Was für eine fettes, süßes Barley Wine. Perfekt! Mehr davon bitte!
