Bottle. An almost clear one, brown in color and with a dense, beige head. The aroma is lightly meaty, with prunes, figs, caramel and toffee, and a nice resiny, piney touch. Malty, lightly bready flavor with a nice bitterness and too much alcohol. Full body and lots of alcohol warmth. Pleasant carbonation level. Bitter, warming and sweet finish with dried fruits. Too warming, but quite decent. 140830

Clear dark amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is softish and airy, mild fine carbonation. Smooth malts, some sweet cream. Nice mellow brandy tone blends well with a cherry streak. Little aniseed spice. Finishes semi dry and airy with a warming afterglow. Tasty and quaffable and hides most of it’s abv well.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Opaque dark brown color, medium sized beige to brownish colored head. Smell and taste malts, overripe fruits, quite alcoholic, raisins. Medium body, a bit lively carbonation. Off balance imo, kind of a bad mix between a quadruple and a Belgian Strong Ale.
