Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty thick chocolate woody aroma. Roasted malty thick woody chocolate and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate licorice finish.

(On tap @ Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade, May 12 2016) Pours viscous pitch black with the barest ring of tan bubbles. Aroma is sweet and heavily vinous, with notes of raw sugar, cocoa, raisinated grapes, sweet red wine, some slight oxidized sherry touches, dark fruit, a touch of soy umami, and faint roasted notes hanging in the back. Flavour follows the nose, quite sweet and vinous with a toffee/dark caramel core, red and fortified wine, dark chocolate, light oak, raisins, dark fruit, nutty oxidation, light to moderate ashy roast. Long fruity, barrel-loaded wine aftertaste. Full and viscous in the mouth with some alcohol apparent. Verging on too much sweetness, and the fortified wine barrels definitely smooth out the roast of the base, but the whole package really is rather elegant in spite of itself.

[5/11/16] Draught at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen. Black and viscous appearance. Great aroma of chocolate, cake, fudge, cookies, port, some soy sauce, oak, a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor with a sourish note, somewhat boozy, with chocolate, cake, port, vanilla, some alcohol. Full-bodied, somewhat boozy.

Draught@Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Black colour,small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some toffee, mild toasted notes as well as some wooden and madeira sweetness. Flavour is very similar in a very "tight" and compact way. Very thick fluid as well.

No head, just some fizzy bubbles. Aroma is sweet, dark sugar, licorice, dark malts, oak, minerals, alcohol, grass, more dark sugar, dried dark fruits, burnt caramel, chocolate. Taste is sweet and slightly sour-ish boozy, dark sugar, oak, minerals, dark malts, even more dark sugar, grass, bark, burnt caramel, alcohol, licorice, dried dark fruits, old rope, coffee, citrus peel, hops. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Nice.

From tap at the Mikkeller bar, Viktoriagade. Black color with beige brown head. Malty aroma, roasted, chocolate, milk and dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, dark dried fruits, light wood. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Full silky creamy body with soft carbonation.

Dark roasted and sweet malty aroma and taste with bitter chocolate, burnt caramel, burnt dark charred malty nuances, plethora of dark and dried fruits, complex mouthfeel, red wine infused wooden oak notes, boozy warming roasted and sweet malty finish.

Rated on 12.5.2016. Draught @Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, molasses, licorice, rye bread, coffee, dark chocolate and oatmeal. Taste is smooth, super sweet and sticky with some rye, booze and molasses. Finish is smooth, sweet and syrupy with loads of malts, rye, roasty notes, licorice and dark chocolate. Quite heavy and massive.

From Tap. Schwarze Farbe, geringe beige Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv süß röstmalzig, Vanille, Karamell, Schokolade. Geschmack intensiv röstmalzig, süß, Vanille, bourbon, Karamell, leicht alkoholisch, sehr vollmundig.
