Préaris Belma is a Belgian white beer brewed with lager malt, wheat malt, wheat flakes, oat flakes, koreander and the peel of oranges. As hop we used the new American Belma hop. This makes the beer more hoppy and slightly more bitter than the average Belgian wheat beer.

Aroma of citrus, lemon, hops, herbs. Flavour is citrussy and herbal, with a decent bitterness in the aftertaste. Not a fan of the style, but I like this one.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Hazy dirty gold colour lasting white head. Not a great aroma touch floral and a little perfume in the mouth touch of floral soap. not a great wit.

Pours clear yellow with a small, foamy, white head; little lacing. The aroma contains lemon, soapy coriander, wheat, white bread, white sugar, banana, dough, lemon juice. It tastes light wheaty sour and light to medium spicy bitter, some sugar & bread in the back. Clove & coriander notes increasing towards a dry, spicy & wheaty finish with some grassy hop bitterness. Medium/light body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. It could have been an unusual Witbier (which I expected from Préaris), but alas.

F: big, egg-white, long lasting. C: blonde, hazy with yeasty particles. A: malty, fruity, yeasty, coriander, bit orange peels. T: malty, orange peels, grassy, bit metallic, coriander, fruity, bit yeasty, herbal, may be too much spicy but quite good balanced for me, medium body and carbonation, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Leuven.

Gekocht op zaterdag 4-2-2017 bij K&S Beer Tobacco Galerie in de Katelijnestraat 52 te Brugge tijdens het 10e Bruggse bierfestival. Een winkeltje waar je keuze hebt uit meer dan 500 verschillende bieren en met nog een ingang/achterdeur rechttegenover brouwerij De Halve Maan. En geproefd op 9-9-2017. Prearis Belma wit is een helder goudblond biertje dat bij het uitschenken veel dik-wollig wit schuim produceert, het blijft op een normale wijze aan het glas kleven en zakt na een tijdje ineen tot er slechts een dun laagje overblijft. Wel veel pareling te zien met belletjes van een middelmatige grootte. In het aroma van Prearis Belma wit herken je wat citrus, tarwemout en wat koriander. En de smaak is licht bitterig met een klein beetje zoete ananas en met ook nog wat tarwemout en koriander. Prearis Belma wit geeft je een volle smaak in de mond, is wat lichtdroog en vluchtig van textuur en ook wat CO2 prikkelend, een evenwichtig biertje. De nasmaak vloeit uit en is wat bitterig en licht droog, ook de ananas en de koriander komen hier in terug. Een goeie doordrinker.
