Old rating from 05-08-16 - A 330ml bottle brought back from Belgium last summer. Pours a clear copper colour with a medium white head which leaves lacing. Aromas of fruit, caramel, malt, yeast, alcohol and hints of spice. The taste is full and medium sweet, again with fruit including apples, caramel, malt, yeast as well as coriander and a hint of vanilla. The alcohol is fairly well hidden considering it 9.0 ABV.

I was disappointing by this one. The taste is sharp, brutal with the alcool, some yeast, malt, sugar but the brown one is much better. 10.05.2017, drinking it at Prélaz, Lausanne, buying it at the tigros, supermarket, Domodossola.

Pours a deep golden/orange colour with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, ripe fruits. Flavour is malty sweetness, a bit boozy. Little more than a strong Leffe Blond, not a fan.

330ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Golden brown, clear with a full but quickly dissipating off-white head. Bready aroma, some dates, cherry, caramel. Taste is sweet, almost cloying, with sugared plums and date syrup. More bitter on the short finish, a bit jarring, notes of apricot brandy. Full body with low carbonation. Imperfect but enjoyable.
