This porter is inspired by the love for roasted malts. It balances somewhere inbetween a porter and a stout with a twist from the Belgian yeast. This beer goes great with grilled pumpkin, chicken or lamb, or dishes that include avocado, figs or dark fruits.

Anti-Carnaval Tasting 2019 @ Benzai’s Gallic fortress of resistance. Bottle. Dark brown with tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, coffee. Bit thin and boozy. Sweet and bitter. 33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Black with a dense beige head. Gentle roasted malts with some coffee and chocolate notes and some faint yeast fruitiness. Taste is sweet with a mild bitter finish. Carbonation is subtle but sufficient. Nice sweet porter.
