Fles gekocht in Liempde.

Brewed at Maasland brewery, tasted 29.11.05 Soapy aroma with lemon. Soapy flavor with cologne and poire williams. Too perfumed, this beer. (5 3 5 2 8 = 2.3) Bottle from MaartenRF10, tasted 28.11.12. Deep golden color. Honey and some floral notes in the aroma. Sweetish honey flavor with soft floral notes and citrus. Decent.

Honey beer from a brewing company at the Veluwe moorlands, thanks Craftmember for sharing, also with the brewer of the Dordogne’s Croix du Rat microbrewery. Off-white, medium thick, lacing, opening head on a clear, warm ‘honeyish’ orange blonde beer. Aroma of sweetbread, stewing apples, industrial honey, some orange zest, dried camomile and a vague whiff of DMS. Sweetish onset, bit apple-ish and lightly banana-like, fizzy carb, slick and supple body. Malt sweetish middle, clean and a tad caramelly with indeed a honeyish sweetness on top but subtly so; moderately spicy, floral hop bitterish finish. Very accessible, stereotypical honey beer for the great masses, nothing to dislike here, but not much to get excited about either.

75 cl. bottle shared with Luc @ home, gift from Sjoerd and Sandra. Hazy golden with a big white head and some floaties. Sweet yeasty aroma with some honey. Sweet taste with that creamy honey feel. Quite simple but overall not bad.
