As heat records for the start of May are broken it seems fitting to switch to an evening of ciders tonight, so this is the first, classed as a sour cider, but it's more of a heavy bitterness to its quite stated apple. The strength of the drink and tanginess of the fruit give it plenty of depth.

500ml bottle. Dark gold, fine carbonation. Tangy apples, tannins. Taste is tangy apples, wood, earth, dry. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good.

Couleur oscille entre un doré pâle et orange, col blanc éparse.
Arôme offre un bouquet de pomme acerbe assez marqué, le tout est très frais, crushed apple, acidité en rétro.
Palais est crisp et acerbe, pomme avec une belle tenue, un peu sur l'aigre et une fine douceur sous-jacente qui offre une petite note de vanille. L'acidité fine se démarque en retrait, le tout est grinçant aux dents avec une petit clin d’œil terreux.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a golden with white bubble head. Aroma is apple, tannins. Taste is tangy apples, tannin, some carbonation.

11/3/2021. Bottle from Beer Garage, Northampton. Pours clear dark gold with a small bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma is green apple, funky, barnyard, light citrus, touch woody. Light sweetness, nice tartness. Medium body, average carbonation. Dry, tart, earthy finish. Enjoyed this.

Bottle at bier en cider festival Utrecht. Clear deep golden with no head. Earthy funk, dry apple, tart apple, soft gooseberries, dry leaves, dry wood, sour pear. Light sweet and bitter, under medium sour. Medium bodied, almost medium dry. Good.

Bottle pour at Molen de Ster. Clear orange with white ring head. Sour red apple, treebark funk, light apple vinegar, juicy with a bone dry finish. On keg at Fierce Bar , Edinburgh. Appearance - bright amber. Nose - freshly sliced cooking apples. Taste - yeah more cooking apples. Tart light yeast edge to it. Palate - tangy and medium bodied. Dry tangy finish. Overall - good dry cider. A proper quench of the thirst.

Keg at Fierce Bar Aberdeen. It pours clear deep greenish - yellow with a tiny white head. The aroma is funky, brett, barnyard, apple pie, earthy, leather, apple skin and wood. The taste is crisp, dry, clean, tart apple, appetizer, bit of lemon, floral, decent hit of brett funk, touch floral, some mouth - pucker and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice funky and tart cider.
