True to its Boontling moniker, “Huge Arker” is a massive force of nature that detonates on your tongue. After primary fermentation, the beer is aged in bourbon barrels until it fully matures. The deep mahogany color is evocative of the opulence to follow. Dark luscious aromas of burnished oak mingle with candy sugar, bourbon and hearth-baked bread. The luxurious flavors redolent of honey and molasses are intertwined with the richness of dark chocolate and the ardent warmth of alcohol, underpinned with hints of coffee, vanilla and dark fruits.

12oz can, there's a date code, but it's wildly illegible. I'm guessing this is 2025, though. Drunk 9/15/25.
Clear, dark. Small, light-tan head.
Smells like an older-style RIS. Big, toasty, oaky, tannic, barrel-heavy nose with huge dark chocolate and moderate roast. Smells good, if you're still in to this "style". It's certainly clean and shows no booze or excess sugar.
Soft, sweet, malty, with plentiful barrel, though it's very oaky, acidic, tannic....The stout itself is malty, though very dry. Lots of caramel and a fair bit of old school roast. Soft, lightly chewy, no syrup, no excess sugar, no alcohol. A bit of weird powdered sugar-like character on the very end.

Can at home. Opaque dark brown color, medium sized off-white to tan head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is malts, heavy bourbon, liquor soaked raisins. Flavor is malts, heavy bourbon, lightly raisins in the distance, lovely bitterness. Very pleasant!

In der Nase riecht man schön das Fass. Im Trunk dann mit ordentlich Bumps, Lakritz, Jägermeister, Bourbon, vielleicht etwas Schokolade, ganz schöne Granate, nix für schwache Gemüter.
