Pale Ale - American Style / APA Regular
Score
6.30

A classic Pale Ale in the American style, synonymous with the current worldwide craft beer explosion since the 1980s. It is an easy drinking beer, with a clear hop character, but not as hoppy or indeed as bitter as an IPA.

No one flavour dominates. An interplay between the fruity hop flavours and the medley of Irish and European malts defines the beer.

33cl Bottle from their sister brewery Hoop. ABV is 5.2%. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of ripe tropical fruits, pineapple and passionfruit, lychee, light buttery, grain, light floral. Flavour of a typical Golden Ale with a touch more hops, some butter (not in a bad way), tropical fruits, fruity, grainy, light floral, decent bitter finish. Light bodied. Easy and tasty enough.
