12 oz can poured, as part of my bring a beer out of rating hiatus series. This can was an absolute gusher, and overflowed as soon as I cracked the can, and again during the long attempt to pour it. A golden yellow with a touch of haze. To be fair, this is past the best by date, but I bought it at the bottle shop this way. Gentle pils grain here, smooth and easy drinking for the most part. I feel like this brew slightly soured over time. Nowhere near to an undrinkable point, but an observation. I considered not rating this, because it really seems like this beer has changed since it's freshest point. Overall refreshing enough. Flavor is overall pleasant. Add to the retry list. Hopefully on draft at the brewery.

Draft - Light skunky grains. Clearish gold with a decent white head. A toouch of soap, bitterness and a dry finish. Light grains throughout.

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Clear, light golden, head fades to nothing too quickly. Light, weak grainy aroma. Taste brings the style’s noticeable crisp hoppiness, but it goes to a metallic finish, so it’s kind of spoiled. Had high hopes at first....

On Tap clear light golden Classic light pale cereal grain flavors. Lightly hopped and light bodied. Im getting a slight bit of what I can only describe as dry dog food. But, the good stuff, IAMS or Eukanuba, not that Purina crap

Can at the Alexandra Arms, Cambridge. The liveliest can I’ve had in a while, even with quasi-expert pouring there’s more head than beer. It settles to a light yellow and heavily carbonated liquid. Gentle lemony aroma: nothing too engaging but nothing off-putting either. Sweet, clean, crisp taste with some bitter hoppiness around the edges, giving a well-balanced bittersweet finish. Not all that much to it but it’s a pleasant enough sessionable lager.

On tap at Alameda, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is quite subtle, with notes of grass and cereal malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with light grass and bone dry biscuity malt. Not especially flavourful or biting for a pils but clean and decently made.

Blind pilsner tasting yesterday. 12 oz can. A: SweeTarts, grain. A: Pale yellow, huge white fluffy head. T: Definitely infected with lacto, which makes it taste pretty good; tart. P: Mouthfeel is too foamy to drink. O: Fucked up. The lacto infection made it interesting, but I couldn’t finish more than a sample. I originally gave this a 3.8, but lowered it after realizing I couldn’t finish it.

Can at home. Pours hazy golden yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of sharp lemon, lime rind. Taste is lime, lemon, faint malt. Clean, sharp finish.
