Wow. Light amber pur. Fair amount of head. Lots of florals. Sweet taste. Which is kind of honey and hint of cinnamon and candy malt. Good

Aroma of ripe fruit, raisins, plums, apricot, with some spice in the backdrop. Flavour is malty, and fruity. The alcohol is present, and it welcome, a nice warming down my throat, a nice solid belgian strong.

(Bottle) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, slightly spicy nose with notes of apricots, honey, orange peel and marzipan. Fruity, spicy taste with apricots, honey, candy sugar, orange peel, white bread, a touch of coriander and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Really tasty and well balanced. Very nice.

Bomber from 2007. Sweet malty smell from pouring. A bit of brown sugar, and some oxidation, expected with a beer this old. Pretty clear brown beer, with a thin ring of foam. Malty flavor, with a little less oxidation than the nose gave me. Slight spiciness from, I believe, Belgian aromatic malt and the yeast. For that matter, I'm tasting no dead yeast, so this has held out very well, after two moves and a lot of warm summers. Background of a fruit compote, with cinnamon and cardamon. The alcohol is making itself felt, I gotta say.

An slighty orange coloured, a head is big and loght beige. Aroma is great, flowers and fruits, orange, apricot, sweetness and hint of spicyness. Taste has fruitness, fresh and riped, apricot, flowers, some spicyness in the end. Medium bodied. Good beer, complex and interesting.

From Jan 2007
Poured from 22oz bottle a clear light gold with a very large head of foam that shrank slowly leaving a fine solid layer and there's plenty of lacing.
The smell is fruity and yeasty...about right for the style.
The taste has some tartness that I noticed immediately with notes of semi sweet malt, hop bitterness, and yeast. A few more sips in and I'm getting some banana and clove but they're pretty sudued. The warming from the alcohol is there but not in abundance so that helps it to be pretty drinkable.
Bottom line: This is a pretty good offering of the style from Avery and is at least worth trying.

16.06.2017, 0,65l bottle shared @ local tasting:
Big fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet floral, weeds, leafs, sap, minerals, yeast, grass, flowers, candi sugar, alcohol, old moss. Taste is slightly dry boozy, weeds, hay, alcohol, minerals, flowers, old leafs, grass, bark, paper, sawdust. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Boring.
