Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a big foamy head with good retention but no lacing. Aroma of dry bitter hops with minimal floral or citrus notes. Taste is also dominated by some dry bitter hops with some light caramel malt notes. Medium body with good carbonation. Not bad overall and pretty straight forward – I would have preferred more citrus notes and some floral notes but still enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle, 12oz. Pours a quite clear, nice golden body with a dense, off-white head. Balanced nose, surprising me a bit, as I expected it to be more on the hoppy side. There’s sure piney hops in it, but there’s also malts enough to balance it. The flavor is a lovely blend of piney and citrusy hops giving it a nice bitterness, and a malty sweetness, leading to a long, very bitter finish with pine and citrus, as well as a malty sweetness to balance it slightly. Yet another nice one from Avery. (080215)

355 ml bottle. Re-rating from bottle @ Patricks. Slightly hazy golden body with a moderate white head. Strong fruity aroma of apricot, ripe fruit and caramel malt. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, fruity bitterness, citric like apricot and grapefruit. Medium body with a nice and bitter aftertaste. A nice and bitter IPA.

Pretty light color for an IPA with a nice heavy head. Aroma is of hops and pine or piny hops... Taste is really heavy on the hops, but still not overkill. Definitely not something that slaughters the palate.

Pour is a orange with a small white head. Aroma is a nice dry hop with not much else coming though but that is a good thing. Flavor is super hoppy and bitter with some malts coming through. A very nice example of the style.

Medium offwhite head. Hazy orange body with yeast particles. Firm sweetish malty aroma with powerful tropical fruit and pine needle notes. Dry pine needle and mango taste with firm malty background. Notes of straw. Dry straw, pine needle, and resin aftertaste. Excellent (0.341l bottle at Knut Albert’s. Absolutely outstanding. Rated twice.)

At first aroma was a bit sour but in the glass its certainly more hoppy, perhaps even some pine needles. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance and color. Initiall swallow is not too bad but don’t let up. Because when you do it’s bitter hops in yer eye. Each sips has a rude bitter medicinal feel to it. Yes sir, you can tell its 6%. About average carbonation. Good example of the style; bumptious and just plain offensive.

bottle - Pours coppery with a medium sized head that leaves ample lacing. The aroma has lots of citrus hops with grapefruit coming in especially strong. Strong citrus hops lead the flavor. They’re crisp and balanced by just enough malt to keep them in check. Rich and enjoyable, this beer is a fine example of the style.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium fluffy head. Had a wheat grass aroma and some citrus. The taste was a good balance with the sweet flavor and the bitter finish. a very good IPA
