Bottle shared, thanks to Ruuurd for the trade. Very dark reddish brown with beige head. Fresh figs, cocoa, brown sugar, dark bread, light raisins, soft roast, light sugar, cola, earthy. Bit over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with slick feel and light dry finish. Not bad!

0.33 l bottle from ’Stadsslijterij Groenmarkt Zutphen’ as ’Oud Zutphens Dubbel’ at 7.5% abv, best before February 2018. Clear, deep red with a thin, slightly creamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit roasty and slightly spicy aroma of caramel, chocolate and faint hints of dark ripe fruits. Sweet, malty, quite roasty and slightly spicy taste of chocolate, caramel and hints of overripe fruits and licorice, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, a bit yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Quite chocolaty for a Dubbel, hardly any kind of fruit detectable, but quite tasty nevertheless.

Bottled@fonefan. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, some caramel, burnt sugar and sour wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, sweet burnt sugar, a stinging alcohol to it. Balanced, but on the slightly too sweet to be relly enjoayble side.

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg.
My 7000th rating - f*ck the milestones edition!
Aroma has hayish malt, nuts, some gooseberry bush and some butterscotch. Also some toffee candy. Flavour has minerals, some menthol, butterscotch and mint. Also hints of raisins. Not that much dubbel-like, but then again this is a Dutch dubbel anyway.
