Dark, robust and silky-smooth, with many flavors of roasted, toasted and caramel malts. Porter is an old-world beer style, so popular that it helped start the industrial revolution. Taste the history.

Bottle at The Brickmakers Ale & Cider House, Wien. Aroma of malt, coffee, creamy mocha, cappuchino, milk chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate coffee bitter finish. Body is medium to full, nice and creamy. Very good, big coffee aroma and quite easily drinkable.

Notes from October 2009 This bottle is more then a year old I think,or maybe it's the new one I bought. No BB date, so how would I know. Sephiroth sent one of these to me before Hoppin Frog came into town. Pint glass. A tan & cocoa-lined cascade that eventually settles & stiffens into a rigid pop-marked hockey puck of khaki-colored goo. Matte black, brown leather-lined body. Piercingly sharp old world porter scent of macerated raisins & figs. I didn't expect that. Chocolate malt, sticky beer residue, burnt sugar, & a medium strength roast. Toasty dry malt upfront. A touch tangy(more old school), riding into bittersweet char & ever increasingly heavy roast. A subtle sugar coat that's pretty new & fun for me. Dry, slightly crusty finish with some light espresso that is evident in both the new & old bottles. A little too stoutly, but still pretty nice. Powdered, low-fat milk texture. Slightly watered down, though rich enough to roll. Carbonation is very low, but pricks up near the end. Besides one bottle being a little more heavy with it's roast, I really can't tell them apart. Good stuff. :)

High on the carbonation, thin, and some weird sharpness. Start of an infection? Besides that it's pretty flavourful, a fair bit of licorice and some coffee with cream. Well balanced sweet vs bitterness. Enjoyable and very easy drinking.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 5 March 2019) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, ashes and blueberries. Malty, roasted taste with dark fruit, coffee, dark chocolate, blueberries and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Smooth and well balanced. Solid and tasty porter. Very nice.

Creamy light brown head stayed on a rich looking dark brown still body. Milk chocolate, lactose, malt & aniseed aroma. Medium bodied, tingly on the front a thicker creamy back & cloying back. Sweet tasting to the fore with chocolate, lactose, demerara & berry followed by a tangy citrus finish & aniseed aft.

Przegazowany. W cholere kawowy, ale tak fajnie, owocowo. Kapka palonosci. Najwyzej polslodki. Troche melano w aromacie. Posmak pumperniklowy i kwaskowaty kawowo. Dobre, chlalne mocno, ale tez chyba lepiej swiezy pic, ten mial pewno z rok czy poltora
