Black with beige froth. Aroma has light roast and fruity notes. Malty with hints of chocolate. Sweet malt and chocolate flavour. Again some notes of fruit, coffee as well. Dry, light bitter and roasted finish.

Bottle split at the RBESG ’15 Grand Tasting, Taphouse CPH, day 4 23/08/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap that retains well. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, toffee, dark fruits, light spice. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, toffee fudge, dark maltings, hint of coffee, spice, light mineral trace. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid porter.

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Pours deep brown with a big cappuccino head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, burnt malts, chocolate, vanilla. Flavour is medium to light sweet, chocolate, coffee, light sour end. Medium body, medium to light carbonation. Ok.

Poured into a teku showing big black and oily with practically no foam. The nose shows some pungent alcohol and a very faint hints of roasted but somewhat sweet (toffee/caramel) malts. The palate is very light bodied with high but unnoticeable carbonation. As the name suggests, it is very smooth and silky. Not a lot of flavor though. Very faint roasted malts with a very slight adzuki/red bean sweetness. Texture-wise it’s great but not a lot of flavor.

Almost black beer with a quite big and light brown head. Aroma is very good, balanced and even sophisticated. Chocolate, balanced roastiness, some liquirice and nuts, hint of vanilla. Taste has mild roastiness, nice malty sweetness, liquirice, some chocolate, hint of riped fruits. Medium bodied, amazingly smooth and velvety to drink. Just a great porter. Complex and balanced with the velvet palate.

Sample from 65 cl. bottle. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Roasted aroma with fruits, dark malts, coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and roasted with chocolate and coffee. Very enjoyable Porter.
