Die sorgfältige Auswahl feinster Weizen- und Gerstenmalze verleiht Maisel’s Weisse ihre rötlich leuchtende Bernsteinfarbe und das über Generationen von Braumeistern überlieferte Brauverfahren der Bayerischen Edelreifung mit Hefe aus eigener Reinzucht gibt ihr den einzigartigen Charakter. Der frische Geruch nach feiner Hefe und angenehmen Fruchtnoten verbindet sich beim Antrunk mit der milden Würze aus Malz-, Frucht- und Nelkenaroma und einer Nuance Muskatnuss. Im Nachgang entfaltet sich dann das für Maisel’s Weisse typische, leicht fruchtige, würzige Weissbieraroma.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours hazy orange with a medium white head. Aromas of bubblegum, sweet orange, banana, esters, citrus. Taste has bubblegum, sweet banana, sweet orange, light floral.

Tap, Sir Williams Pub, Ljubljana. Hazy amber coloured, almost no head. Lots of ripe bananas in the aroma, sweaty and slightly spicy. Watery body. Medium sweetness, bananas. Slight spiciness. Watery body. Not unpleasant, but not too nice.

Dark orange brown color, frothy head. Citric aroma in which orange dominates. Orange flavor, yeasty with hintsd of banana. Rather thin. Decent weizenbier, not too much aroma and flavor, but a good thirst quencher.

Dafür, dass das ein helles Weizen sein soll, ist das aber schon sehr dunkel. Wer jetzt aufgrund der Farbe ein besonders intensives Geschmackserlebnis erwartet wird enttäuscht. Leicht fruchtig, leicht getreidig, wenig Hopfenwürze und recht viel extrem feinperlige Kohlensäure. Neutral und nichtssagend. Da wird keiner „Pfui Teufel“ schreien, allerdings auch nur ganz wenige verirrte Geister werden sagen, dass dies das beste Weißbier ist, dass sie jemals getrunken haben.

Cloudy amber color with banana bread, spicy clove, and mild bubblegum aroma. Typical sweet wheat , banana Hefeweizen flavor with just a hint of funk at the finish.

Bottle, 0.5l. Hazy copper pour, two finger frothy white head. Medium retention, good lacing as it goes down. Yeast and banana on the nose, grassy background. Medium body, average carbonation. Pleasant texture, soft and creamy although a bit light. Classic hefe taste, mildly sweet with slightly stronger fruity sour kick. Aroma of wheat, yeast, malt, banana and cloves. Touch of citrus. Grassy, herbal background. Medium finish with slight tart. Pretty good.
