18 September 2022. At Logan Theatre, Chicago. Shared with the lovely Anke while watching Nope!
Clear golden, thin, white head. Aroma of grapefruit juice, mandarin, melon, yeast, straw, pine, gin. Taste has sweet melon & mandarin, bitter grapefruit juice & pine, bit dank. Resinous hoppy finish with citrus pith and warming gin-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Solid and balanced.

Can from Trader Joe's. Pours cloudy lemon yellow with small foamy whitish head, light citrus peel aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter fresh citrus peel taste, smooth thin body, long citrusy finish. Refreshingly citrusy.

Can (4/1/22) pour from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. It’s a lightly hazy yellow with nice sparkle, 3-finger width white foamy head with poor retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong mix of sweet and tart orange and lemon along with late hints of vegetal. Taste mirrors aroma with addition of mild late malt. Mouthfeel is light side of light to medium bodied with smooth texture soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a little old for peak freshness so that may contribute but didn’t get all the juiciness of Citra. Just Ok.

Can. Almost clear pale gold with a 2cm white head. Aroma of citrus rind - kumquat, Meyer lemon - some citrus blossoms, soft biscuit. Medium bodied, slightly chalky. Lots of citrus, some honeyed biscuit, moderate bitterness. Pretty good although the modern vague palate detracts a little.

Pours a slightly hazy, light lemon-gold, with smallish head. Aroma is citrus and some hops. Flavor is citrus, some tropical fruit, some breadiness, with a good amount of pine/spruce bite in the finish.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of citrus with a bit of citrus rind and some sweet grains underlying. Flavor is very citrus forward with a bit of rind and a light sweet grain backbone.

16 ounce can. Hazy yellow gold pour. Large frothy beige head. Fragrant citrus hops over a buttery malt aroma. Crisp citrus notes upfront. Notes of berry, pineapple and lemon. Some juiciness in middle. Light bitter finish lends itself to grapefruit pith. Tasty.
