Bottle. A murky, brown beer with a dense beige head. Yeasty nose with dried fruits and caramel. Roasted notes too, both in the aroma and flavor. Quite yeasty flavor with some caramel and dried fruits. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. The finish equally boring. Not very pleasant or tasteful. 131101

Bottle from Burg Bieren Bierwinkel, Ermelo, Netherlands consumed at home Friday 19th October 2012 Dark Reddy/brown in colour, a little hazy with a small off-white head. Little nutty, soft in the mouth, fruity with a nice twang. Tangy edge, there is a woodiness and a slight interesting but also uncompromising feel to this, lacks sweetness, not spicy, but very interesting. Good stuff. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle shared. Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, grain, coffee, fudge and chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet, medium bitter. Seems more like a porter than a double. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ TBF ’11. Smells a bit like candy-sweets, nuts, caramel. Tastes accordingly, quite roasty, chocolate notes. Very full body. Not your typical abbey dubbel. More like a combination between a dubbel and a stout. I liked it.
