Iron Horse Double Rainbow Red IPA A great looking amber red with a thick light beige head with a peppery malty pine aroma. Full bodied and mostly piney hops with some caramel malt sweetness backbone. It makes me think of west coast IPAs we got back when I first got into craft beer in Japan. Alright.

355ml can from Antenna America, Kannai. Pours deep mahogany red, some beige bubbles on the top, relatively looking pretty flat. Nose has some hop resins that is oput against heavy malty body. Light spices and grassy hop edge. Taste is hoppy and grassy, sweeter malty base there as well. Bitterness is quite heavy and harsh, citrus with grapefruit peels and grapefruit pith. Long lingering citric bitterness in the finish. Quite decent example of the style, food, not just beer.

Back log entry 22 oz bottle. Pours out amber color topped with a small sand head. Nose is toast some Woody malts Pine and citrus hops. Taste is as the nose with the toasted malts some bread and a balance of pine Citrus hops.

Can. Amber color with a small beige head, spotty lacing. Smells malty and a little dank. Interesting combination of sweet and floral hops. Tastes malt forward, its sweet. Some floral hop notes and a bit of wet cardboard.

Deep brick red. Sweet malts, citrus, light pine notes, toast. Very rounded malt profile. With muted bitterness. Decent.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a dark ruddy amber color almost brown with a sustaining finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head dissipating at a snail’s pace to a gentle low riding valley of silky foam. Nice show.
The aroma blends a nice sturdy sweet caramel rich and toffee malt backbone to citric and grassy hops. Bitterness somewhat low but seems good for the style at least.
The flavor lends a hand to the crisp sweet balance of it all. Nice lingering balance of sweet to bitter in the aftertaste leading into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable feel to it. Carbonation seems to run light.
Overall, it’s a good amber ale that I could come back to.

On Tap at PreFunk Meridian Clear deep mahogany with a persistent tan head and sturdy lacing. Plenty of toasted maltiness, hopped up and nearly a woody malty IPA Heavy body and full palate. Strong IBU trailer. A big beer all around.

On tap Albertsons. 32 oz grunt fill. Dark amber, slightly muddy small creamy head, streaky lacing. Malts on the aroma, hops in the background, but take over the taste, where malts are in the backseat. Pretty well balanced beer, kind of light for a strong ale. Subtle warmth.

Dark amber color, hazy. Solid caramel brew, moderately sweet, with a good resiny hopping. More interesting than the similar Rando IRA tasted side to side, and with no diacetyl.

Draft pour at Frankies pizza. Pours a cloudy orange color with a foamy head. Aroma and flavor are very basic to the style, though not bad at all. Has a sweet side, spicy, and even a tiny bit sour, which was less ordinary. Overall a tasty beer
