Gulpener Dort (7%) is een helder, donkerblond bier met blijvende, licht beige schuimkraag. Met een aroma vol brood, granen en zoetig mout is een het een echte Dortmunder. Redelijk zoet van smaak, met een klein bittertje in de nasmaak.

Pours a clear dark yellow/amber with a white head. Aroma of malts, fruits, caramel, light hops. Flavour is malty sweetness, a little alcohol, midly hoppy, with a moderate bitter finish. Decent but mediocre.

Tap at Pothuiske, Maastricht. A fine amber coloured 6,5% beer from Gulpen. A spicy, fruity start with a bitter finish.

Malty aroma with some liquorice and tropical fruit. Sweetish taste, malty and very fruity (pineapple, orange). Some alcohol. Full bodied. I love it!

Tap at Arendsnest, 9th May 19. Pours golden orange. Aroma is muted. Taste is clean, light perfume, malty, light bitterness in the finish. Not bad, not a Helles as I would know it.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Dry malty aroma. Starts strong-malty, light alcoholic notes. Dry malty background. Finish boring malty, milder. Okay.

Bottle from Rudat. The beer starts malty with hints of grain. Easy to drink with malty hints but not much bitterness. Smooth mild aftertaste, hints of malt and smooth Heller Bock flavour. Round and mild finish. Interesting for this high ABV.

Uit de fles bij gasthof Euverum. Mooie heldere amber kleur, met een ecru schuimkraag die lang blift. Aroma's van mout, fruit, graan. Retronasaal is er ook mout, wat zoet, zoet fruit, iets kruiden. Smaak is licht zoet, iets fruitig en kruidig. Medium body. Smaak blijft hangen. Leuk om die goeie ouwe bekende weer eens te proeven na al die jaren (zei opa Bier).
