Brand new from Hill Farmstead. It appears batch one is already sold out for draught and cans to go. Note ABV is slightly higher than single hop Citra.
A - Growler at 40F poured to the brim of a HF stemmed wine glass. Looks like orange juice pulp.
S - Nice aroma. Juicy grapefruit. smells like many other Citra beers. No cat-pee of course.
T - tasty grapefruit, orange juice and a little bit of pine cone with some tropical fruit. i get a floral lavender flavor too.
M - Carb is very soft. I hope in subsequent batches, it gets a bit oily at the end. Not usual for HF. will have to re-rate
O - Tasty, I assume this is batch one. I think it'll get more dialed in with time. Funny how every HF has this classic taste to it but never in batch one (talking about pale ales) I remember not loving Sumner or Susan in batch one. Same with walden..liking not loving and now they're some of my favorite pale ales.
