Beer Table to go, can: pours black with beige head. Aroma is light roast, brewed coffee, some earthiness. Taste is light sweet, low bitter, plenty of coffee, kind of dry. Smooth and easy to drink. It worked for me.

Can from Colonial Spirits Dark brown color with a thin tan head that slowly dissipates. Coffee and cocoa are strong on the nose with hints of earth. Big coffee flavor with bits of cocoa and light green peppercorn. Just enough malty sweetness to counter the huge coffee presence. Very well done.

This beer pours an inky black color with a medium tan head that recedes gradually to a film. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Medium body with a roasty coffee and malt character, with some cocoa and figs in the background. The finish is bittersweet chocolate mocha. Pretty good beer all around.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Aroma is strong roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, dark fruit. Appearance is virtually opaque black--dark brown at edges of glass--with finger-width light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Taste is sweet dark fruit with mix of sweet and bitter roasted coffee and chocolate. Palate is full bodied with thick creamy texture, average carbonation and long, sweet finish that ends with light bitterness. Overall, a decadent treat with full body that borders on imperial stout status.
