It may sound nuts, but most ales with nutty flavors or aromas are made without any real nuts. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale is made with real Louisiana pecans. The natural oils from the nuts give the ale a light pecan finish and aroma. It’s wonderful paired up with both red meats and seafood - and no surprise it’s great with nuts too. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale, crack one open for yourself today.

Not too bad, not strong on the pecan. Almost pumpkin spice like.

Pours a reddish amber with a massive tan head. Aroma of nutty, spiced malt. Taste has sweet malt, caramel, mild molasses. Palate is somewhat grainy, has some more pleasant nutty elements on the nose. Good, if sweet.

Pours an amber from a bottle, slightly skunky aroma, flavor somewhat cloying like an amber, but not overly sweet, somewhat bitter, but not from hops, likely from the nuts. Not terribly nutty either. Meh.

Very reminiscent of some of the European chestnut ales. Slightly nutty aroma, some brown sugar. Taste is flat and dry, mildly sweet.. Dull appearance, flat finish.

12 ounce bottle. Bright amber orange color. Large rocky beige head. Rich toasted malt nose with subtle pecan and caramel notes. Soft caramel malt flavor. More toasted nut flavor, though quite subtle. Mid taste is tangy and slightly bready. Buttery malt finish with some grassy hops.

A hazed reddish amber ale with a thick collapsing mocha head. In aroma, sweet nutty malt with grassy notes, faint cinnamon. In mouth, a sweet nutty malt with grassy hops, very restrained, OK.
