Aihki Dark Lager on tuhti juoma tumman oluen ystäville. Sopii erinomaisesti poronkäristyksen ja lampaanpaistin seuraksi. Suodattamaton.

Bottled 330ml at Aihkiniemi, Inari (from K-Citymarket Rovaniemi)
Dark brown-amber color, small off-white head. Aroma is bready, light toasted malty with pils malt notes. Light-bodied. Slightly toasted front, light coffee and caramalt. Not very hoppy, more on malt side. Clean. Ok.

Botle 0.33l at home, Vantaa. Colour is clear dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Harshness, bread, some chocolate, some caramel and malts. Pretty good dunkel! Nice surprise after horrible Lapin Amber Lager. Fresh.

330ml bottle from Pien, Helsinki. Pours dark brown with a small head. Aroma of bready malts, hints of rye, syrup, caramel and grain. Taste is smooth, malty and slightly grainy with some bready notes, hints of rye and syrup. Finish is grainy, earthy and slightly malty with some hints of rye. Okay, quite easy going and balanced.

A dark brown beer, a head is big and beige. Aroma has bread and herbs, hint of vegetables. Taste has (rye-)bread, herbs, quite dry, some bitterness in the end. Medium bodied. Typical breadyness, plus point for bitterness. Decent.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, from CM Ruoholahti, 20160930) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was large, nearly white and it lasted long. Aroma had caramel, burnt malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy and bitter. I’d say this beer is not a Dunkel but a Schwarz and not a bad one.

33cl bottle @ Tammela vintage tasting, BBE 01.12.2017
Aroma has hayish tones, nuts and coffee. Flavour has coffee, ashy tones and mild pea soup aromas. A bit foamy palate. Very dry and surprisingly good start for a new brewery!
