Nice brown color. Don’t really like the smell, but fortunately it’s not too much present. The taste is pretty subtile for a 10% ABV winterbier.

Eher milder Malzantrunk mit leichter aber frisch wirkenden Herbe. Im Hintergrund mild gewürzig. Dunkel karamellig. Trotz der insgesamt dunkleren Aromen bleibt das Bier erfrischend. 7/9/10/11/10/11

bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, spices, malt, hop. Flavour is caramel, alcohol, malt, hop, fruit, spices. Medium to full body. OK beer.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Rather alcoholic on the nose, but with enough fruityness and sugar to make it pleasant. Some spices too. A bit hot in the mouth, but as a winter beer it’s ok. Sugary, fruity flavor with a pleasant bitterness. Lasting, warm finish with canned tropical fruits and some bitterness. Full-bodied, pleasantly carbonated and too hot. A quite nice one, but too ordinary and alcoholic. 110122

Cloudy deep amber with loads of floaties, sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and dark overripe fruits. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, phenol, dark overripe fruits and caramel. Finished sweet.

Bottled. An amber beer with huge floaties under a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrus, bread, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemon, caramel, and a bit of malt, leading to a lightly acidic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 30 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with loads of floating impurities and an off-white head. Aroma of overripe, oxidized fruits. Medium body, lots of overripe, dry fruitiness, with quite some phenols. Some alcohol in the finish. 010510

30 cL bottle, Kerstbier Festival 2009. Pours dark deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and slight phenolic. Light spiced and overripe fruity note. Lingering fruity and slight spiced flavoured. Dry malty note. Light lingering spiced.

bottle, mit Dank an MoritzF! Deep brown colour, mid-sized head. Malty-fruity nose. Full-bodied, malty with hints of caramel, fudge and nuts and a touch of shy fruitiness. Well-balanced, a nice strong winter ale.
