An amber, craft beer with generous amounts of hops and alcohol. This copper-gold beer is a real heavyweight and a must for beer lovers. The liberal quantities of malt and bitter hops create a complex, full flavour. It starts as slightly sweet with malty aromas of chocolate, fruit and grain, while the bitter hops stand out nicely in the aftertaste. A feast for the connoisseur!

On tap at BrewDog Shepherds Bush. Clear orange colour lasting cream head. Ester aroma. Banana and peach. Nut shells too. Good Belgian ale. It’s so nice after dipas to get a strong hoppy Belgian. White pepper finish likeable belgian ale well balanced.

Bottle. Color: Amber, orangish. Small off white head. Taste: Rather complex. Starting fruity, turning to rather bitter and after that going to the sweet side. Caramel and slightly orange peel notes. Bittery mouthfeel at the finish. Not my all time favorite, but a nice warming beer for once in a while.

Bottle at home, 7th January 17. Pours a light translucent copper. Aroma is yeast, sweet malts. Taste is bitter, yeasty, some caramel. Great bitterness, with some good balance from the malt, almost a bitter Belgian yeasty imperial IPA, complex and drinkable

Draft at the source. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt and fruit. Taste is more malty than a traditional Belgian Strong Ale with hints of spice and yeast. Alcohol is noticeable.

0.33 l bottle from ’Sterk Avondverkoop’, best before May 2017. Clear, dark brownish amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly spicy aroma of caramel, honey, nuts and some spicy hops. Sweet, malty and quite spicy taste of caramel, honey, nuts, cinnamon, some coffee and clove, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty and quite spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Nice!

Bottle from Damian. Absolutely unbalanced, with unpleasant amounts of roast and coffee, bitterness serves only to reinforce this impression. Meh. Not my cup of beer at all. HOT FOR A RERATE

Bottle, shared by marduk, thanks. Aroma is fruity, sour, berries. Flavor is sweet, berries, malt. Finish has some dry bitterness and alcohol. Overall: weird, but not bad.

Ambar, mucho sedimento flotando, y escasa espuma. Feo aspecto. Aroma alcohólico. En boca, alcohol claro. Alcohol predominante.
