We love hops – that’s why our flagship Double IPA, Heady Topper, is packed full of them. Heady Topper was designed to showcase the complex flavors and aromas these flowers produce. The Alchemist has been brewing Heady Topper since 2003. This Double IPA is not intended to be the strongest or most bitter DIPA. It is brewed to give you wave after wave of hop flavor without any astringent bitterness. We brew Heady Topper with a proprietary blend of six hops – each imparting its own unique flavor and aroma. Take a big sip of Heady and see what hop flavors you can pick out. Orange? Tropical Fruit? Pink Grapefruit? Pine? Spice? There is just enough malt to give this beer some backbone, but not enough to take the hops away from the center stage.

Alchemy wants people to drink this one from the can and there's no doubt of why that is, the aroma is very light. However, don't let the light aroma fool you because this classic beer packs a lot of flavour, and it's absolutely delicious. Tropical flavours galore with some piney undernotes. Medium carbonation. The Heady Topper is a very popular beer and not without reason.

Can shared with Vestergaard and rasmusott. Boom! Pours hazy orange with a thin white head. Aromas of a sweeter grape, peach, some tropical pineapple, sweet ripe orange. Smooth malt profile. Taste is booming with peach, sweet orange, pineapple, slight pine, slight caramel malt, lots of resin. Some grassy hops but not a lot. Veryyy smooth.

Thanks Davido! Subtle, very nice. Malt at the start, biscuity, then hops creep up. Pine, resin, lots of grapefruit. Minerals. Great stuff.

From can @ Borefts 2013, thanks to BRW. Grassy, citric slightly herbal aroma. Pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, oily grassy hops. Very well balanced, very good. Lives up to its reputation.
