(Re) Introducing Helios Ale. We’ve rebranded and repackaged the former V-Saison and now introduce Helios Ale. This bottle conditioned, Belgian-inspired ale remains the same refreshing ale that you enjoyed as V-Saison, however, in a more approachable, less expensive 22 oz capped bottle. Helios Ale has an earthy, aromatic hop start and shifts into aspects of lemon peel and black pepper. This is a quenching, invigorating ale, despite its substantial strength.

Poured from a 650ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Rocky white head slowly fading over a next to clear golden body. Misty last pour. Spotty lacing down the glass. Farmyard and a touch of citrus on the nose. Herbal and mid-tart fruity flavours, hints of lemon, yeast and lightly dark spiced banana. Yeasty fruitiness to the ending. Drying palate. Fine bodied. Enjoying and varied saison (Tromsø 16.07.2016).

A nice pleasant farmhouse ale with a balanced fine acidity.
Lovely nice unclear yellow color with a fine white had. Looks great. Nice intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation. Pleasant balance between acidity and sweetness. Semi dry ending. Yeast, citric, some spices and fruity.

Bottle, 22oz. A hazy golden ale with a dense two finger off-white head leaving lacing. Fruity aroma, citrus and orange peel, some banana and peaches, and a hint of peppery, chalky yeast. It’s lightly warming on the palate, full bodied and lightly effervescent, semi dry. Citrus, orange zest, banana hints, pepper hints and bitterness. Lasting fruity finish with some chalky yeast hints. Quite nice, but a tad yeasty. 160409
