Cask @ Mill Hotel, Chester [050916]
Blonde, hazy, dense white head
Aroma - Massive fruit nose, smell it a couple of foot away, huge sweet orange, fresh orange, WOW
Taste of sweet fruits, big fresh juicy orange, soft bitter citrus zest, so so juicy, some bitter grapefruit, citrus fruit salad in a glass...I had to dash back to the hotel just before it closed for non residents and get another glass (this time a full pint)...just superb...so fresh
Palate - Medium body, soft mouthfeel, juicy tangy fruits. Finish of jaffa orange, just the right palate at the right time, perfect bittersweet balance
Overall - This was a stunner. Top Salopian beer for me...gorgeous flavour...wow wow wow...certainly in the top 3 cask beers I’ve had

500ml bottle in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury on 23rd Sep 2016. First of all, check out the huge sediment base in the bottle, almost a fifth of the total amount. Golden amber body, clear because Mat warned me about the ’fruit juice’ sediment and I was careful when pouring: the second pour brought up some of the sediment and of course the beer was now cloudy, but with even more fruitiness than at first. Orange flavours and aromas abound: bitter-sweet and most enjoyable.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; cloudy golden amber pour with loads of suspended UFOs, head is thin and white, aroma has some really zesty action and some pale malts, taste has citrus pretty sure bit of citrus fruit in the bottle would explain the now identified FOs, grapefruit bitterness, decent stuff.

On tap at Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury, Saturday 27th August 2016 Hazy light/mid gold with a white head. A tad zesty on the nose, this is very reminiscent of Bloody El, however it’s a bit cleaner. Nice juiciness, some bittersweet orange, it’s a little dry on the finish, steady bitterness, very good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Flavour is composed of tangy pineapple, spicy tangy lemon rind, sharp citrus, light wheat malts, background, tropical fruit notes palate is light grains, pithy citrus, good cask condition. Really good.
