Bottle from Morissions, Harwich. Poured a clear medium amber, with a thin broken white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, hop bitter, light metallic palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle that Dad shared- cheers! Light amber with a thin white head and a too-prickly fizz. Leafy, grassy unripe aroma. Different on tasting though- honey, caramel and just a hint of lemon. Fuller mouthfeel than I expected for a pasteurised supermarket beer, but the prickles are annoying. Very mild bitterness at the end. Ok.

Bottle @ The Old Monkey - Joseph Holts pub on Portland Street in Manchester. Golden with no head. Has a high sour hop bitterness for its aroma and a slightly soapy texture. Has a mainly light bitterness for its flavour although a slight sweetness can be detected.

Clear golden beer with a thick, frothy head and a light, fruit and malt aroma. It looks a little too lively but it’s actually only a mild, pleasant fizz on the tongue. The flavour is fruit with a slightly sour edge though it’s not unpleasant for it.

500ml bottle - pretty ordinary beer, a golden body, gone-in-sixty-seconds white fizzy head, and yes, there is a bit of citrus in there. But by the time I’d finished it, I’d not noticed any good or bad features.
