There are two kinds. There is the DayTime kind, which is bright and welcoming and then there is the NightTime kind, which should never be confused with the DayTime. NightTime is dark and deep and may take you to unexpected places, places that the DayTime cannot. But then, the NightTime is not suited for ordinary life and ordinary tasks. In fact, NightTime may be the answer for that sort of thing, meaning that those sorts of things may never get done. Things take time in the NightTime, things slow down and you can puase (you have to, actually) and investigate carefully to find that level of objective detachment that is only possible under the spell of the NightTime. Seek the Day, but fear not the Night.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A very dark dark brown beer with a mid-sized good lasting beige head. Aroma of intense hoppy dark fruits, coffee, citrus. Taste of dark roasted malt, quite hoppy dark fruits, citrus, coffee, nice!

8.2% version with 65 IBU. Smooth mild deep beginning. Caramel, roast, lots of floral piney hops. Hints of an aroma that might be polaris, refreshing and deep. Roast, floral hops, deep with a dry caramelly roasted body. Long intense aftertaste, round and fantastic deep. Long dry malty roasted caramel aroma on the tongue with a nice floral bitterness. Very nice!

Reminds me of Shakespeare Stout, which i haven't had in over a decade I suppose. Mild roast, bright citrusy hops, medium mouthfeel, semi-sweet at finish with a moderate bitterness. Dark, essentially opaque.

Tap. Pours clear reddish black, medium creamy beige head, great lacing. Aroma of roasty citrus, right in the bipa sweet spot. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter. Quite nice. Medium body. Lingering bitterness.

Pours a dark black (a "stout" black) with mid-sized, creamy beige head. Aromas include chocolate, licorice, roasted grain, and a touch of bops. Flavors include chocolate, coffee, roasted grain, some hop-citrus and hop-pine. Fairly smooth beer with just a touch of bitterness in the finish/aftertaste.
