Strong sweet fruity aroma, fruit syrup, candy sugar, bubblegum, bit caramel, orange peel, citrus, herbs. Clear amber colour, good frothy white head, stays a while, good lacing. Smooth sweetbitter flavour, coffee, roastey. Smooth bittersweet finish, alcohol. really don’t understand the bad ratings on this one, very acceptable strong beer.

Purchased this from a supermarket in Landsmeer .Consumed this at Camping Het Rieven, Landsmeer, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Monday 30th September 2013 A big malty beer from Grolsch. Gold in colour with middling sparkling, heavy and more than a little syrupy in mouth. I bet this is the sort of beer that gets a massive slagging on ratebeer, however I have to say I really don’t mind it, also I am amazed at the abv, it drinks much easier than it should. Its a very one dimensional beer, malty, sweet and strong. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is all malt and nothing but malt. The flavour is strong bitter with lots of malt, liqourice and alcohol burn on the palate. It’s not particularly pleasant and i’m surprised they still brew it. The alcohol dominates so much and there really is no other flavour. The only people likely to be drinking this stuff are people with a problem!

Just to sort out some beers I have had, but didn’t rate. Can at home, strong in the alcohol taste, but not very special.

Aroma mostly alcohol, the taste as well. It’s better to drink this one as a sleeping medicine.

Can at base camp, Utrecht, during the late nights of post-Borefts fun. Sourced from some local supermarket. Pours clear gold with a fine, white cream head. Boozy cereal malts and corn in the nose, along with some caramel and rotting fruits. Big sweet flavor with malty rubbing alcohol, hearty cereal, cardboard, syrupy toasted sugars. Full bodied with average carbonation - and it’s chewy. Warming finish, fairly abrasive, hot on the teeth, very boozy, more cereal sugars, grains. Sticky, boozy and harsh. Upside is you can get f*cked on this real quick. That’s the only upside.

Ochydne, obrzydliwe i złe piwo. Etanol i etanol tylko, zagłusza wszystko w tym piwie. Piana skromna, wysycenie zbyt mocne alkoholowy finisz i do tego wzdęcia po tym piwie. Nie polecam nikomu. Milosnika wodki pewnie posmakuje, a mnie obrzydza to piwo niemilosiernie. Ponad polowa tej etanolowej cieczy poszla do zlewu. I wam radze zrobic to samo.

0.5l can @ hotelroom in Bondegraven before Borefts. This is a clear golden one, some small sediments floating about and a medium sized light lacing and bubbly top. Smells light sweet, some green banana sweetness actually. Also there is a faint nail polish remover acetone alcohol tone in the background. Not especially refined. On my, this is a strong beer yeah. Boozy and sticky all the way. A bit to sharp for a breakfast sip. Something you drink to get drunk I suppose. 30.09.2012
