Canned beer has made a serious return in the craft brewing world. Prior to this resurgence, the only beer found in cans were industrial lagers. So as a nod in both directions we present an elegantly crisp and hoppy new world lager. The light and refreshing pilsner malt body delivers an abundance of floral, spice, and grass driven hop flavors and aroma. Perfect for those luxurious cruises through the Caribbean.

Can. Lemon-lime, malt, and straw aroma. Slightly hazy pale yellow with huge white head. Lightly sweet lemon-lime, barley malt, and moderate bitter dry orange peel flavor. Body on the light side. Not your standard Pale Lager. Full name of this beer is Raymond Luxury Yacht - pronounced Throat Warbler Mangrove (I will buy a beer for anyone who gets this).

Pours light pale, bit of foam. Nice refreshing green hop aroma. Taste is also light and refreshing, hops contributing with some freshness. Well done and fully enjoyable. As it warms a bit, it does lose some of it’s charm though, the balance falls apart for some reason. Overall, still one of the best hoppy lager’s I have had, well executed.

Oh yea, this beer is my jam - pours lightly hazy gold with a thick, frothy, well-sustained head - aroma has a dry, crisp mineral bite to it that compliments the hop notes flowers and grass - soft carbonation - nice froth in the mouth - clean, moderate mineral character, dry, with strong by not overpowering or abrasive finishing bitterness - as it warms, the bitterness does become just a tiny bit much in the finish, but this is a great hoppy lager - the only problem is the price point.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Heather and caramel aromas. Crisp yet a little watery with mild grass and pepper front to back and into the abrupt finish.

Can: Hazy pale yellow with a frothy white head. Lemony, semi-sour grain malt aroma. Taste is a grassy, pils-type bitter...grain malt....a little watery. Pretty decent, just seems a little muted, due to the wateriness.... However, it did grow on me throughout the glass....pretty good.

Tallboy can from Wine Warehouse. Hazy straw yellow, large foamy off-white head, average head retention. Aroma of doughy malt, creamed corn, grassy and almost metallic hops. The taste is dry biscuit malt, citrus hops. Thin bodied, high carbonation.

Pour is a cloudy blonde with a huge white head. Aroma is all pils malt and maybe a bit of white pepper. Very dry and bready. Flavor is again a bone dry malt with some grassy hops. Still a little lager wateriness but it’s pretty refreshing on this warm day. Damn fine lager here. Blows pretty much every pale lager out of the water.

Very good for style. Crisp and easy drinking. Light bitter finish. Golden pour. Good balance with some taste of barely you generally don’t get in style. Tap at Churchkey.
