A perfect friend to close the eyes, a rather strong ale, warm alcool, well integrated, malty, bready, notes of toffee and honey, a wind of autumn in your cup, classical hop and subtle bitterness, 21.08.20, at Epalinges.

Found a vintage. It's strong vanilla with nutty hints.

330ml bottle from Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. 2021 vintage. Poured a hazy medium amber with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, honey, vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet,, light bitter, with a rich, slightly oily, herbal, light spicy, vanilla palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Reminds me of a sweet Japanese red bean desert.

Tap at koht (as Hitachino Nest Commemorative Ale, 8%). Pours hazy amber. Aroma is sour, oaky, fruity, acetone, spices. Flavor is sour, oak, fruits, malt, spices. Finish is oaky. Overall: too much barrel, but i kind of like it.

33 cl bottle @ home (bbe 05-2017) as Commemorative Ale (8%). Deep dark red to brown color, hazy. Dense off white head with a little retention. Aroma’s: sweet, caramel, soft fruit, light spices. Retronasal it’s caramel, sweet, light spices. Flavor is moderate to full sweet. Alcohol is warming, but not sharp. Body is rather full. Finish with just a hint of bitterness. Quite nice.
