Bottle (from Alko). Rubyish black colour with a small beigeish brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is toffee, cardboard, rye bread, mild toasted and roasted notes with some wooden and mild dried fruits to it. Flavour is toasted, chocolaty, some coffee, mildly dried fruity elements with some slight rye bread. Fermented until quite dry, which is quite nice.

330ml bottle; BBE Mar 2020. Picked up in Kirkwall and drank while off the coast of Scotland while cruising. Dark ruby body, wispy head. Malty and pretty sweet with chocolate notes to the fore in both the aroma and flavour. Nice, easy going Imp.

A black beer, a head is quite small and yelloish beige. Aroma has liquorice, sweetness of dried fruits, some salt and salt liquorice. Great aroma. Taste has liquorice, roastiness, some salt, in the end also sweetness with dried fruits. Medium+ bodied. Nice, notes from the sea.

Bottled 330ml (Alko web)
Dark ruby colour, small steady beige head and some lace. Light toasted aroma, dark bread and cardboard. Medium-bodied. Sweetish fruity front, then some coffee, toastyness. Despite of early fruityness, feels more like a Baltic Porter than Imperial Stout. Simplish.

For some unknown reason the text was lost. This black beer had a pleasant aroma but it's taste was bit weird.

Bottle. Darkest brown color with white head. Aroma is fudge, chocolate. Taste is fudge, chocolate, bonbon, herbal. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. A bit too sweet and bonbony for me.

Bottle.Opaque with a light, beige head that thins out pretty quickly. Smells of malt and caramel. Caramel in the taste too, with vanilla, chocolate and malt. It's very smooth and even through the aftertaste the savoury and sweeter flavours are balanced out nicely, with a just a whiff of boozniess to it.

0.33 l bottle from 'Britische Biere', best before December 2017, almost two years old I guess. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a little fruity-spicy aroma of milk chocolate, soft coffee, hazelnut, vanilla and a touch of soy sauce. Rather sweet, malty, slightly roasty and minimally fruity-spicy taste of milk chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, vanilla and traces of soy sauce, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, just slightly earthy-dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth, almost creamy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant, easily drinkable Impy Stout, almost too soft actually.

0,33l Bottle @ Orkney Hotel, Kirkwall. Kicsit karcolós, keser bomba, szobahőmérsékleten az igazi.
