Cloudy yellow blond beer, big solid creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: wort, yeasty, floral notes, quite some bubble gum, a hint of ripe banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of band-aid, very chemical, very unpleasant, pretty bad, floral touch as well, yeasty. Aftertaste: more yeast, a little bitter, quite a lot of band-aid still, chemical touch, sugary, sweet, some almonds, don’t like it at all, didn’t finish even half of the glass between the two of us.

50cl Fkes van REWE Maichingen. 5.4% ABV. Troebelgele kleur, witte kraag. Zacht-romige banaan, licht kruidig, hint van citroen, frisse tarwe, iets boterig of romig, weinig bitter. Lichte body, zacht en wederom romig mondgevoel. Prima Weizen.

Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Smooth Weizen, the usual sweet banana aroma with bready wheat and spicy yeast. Touch of citrus. Moderate sweet, smooth banana finish. Good one.

Hazy pale yellow colour,medium sized creamy white head; aroma and taste of wheaty-bready, lemony and some banana, ad well as caramel notes; correct weizen

Fruchtkompott, etwas frische Zitrone und Grapefruit. Auch bittere Noten sind klar erkennbar. Herb fruchtig - lecker. Ordentliche 5,5 % Alk. Guter Kompromiss aus Substanz und Süffigkeit. Ein anständiges helles Weizen. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Kommt nach einer Weile etwas dumpf rüber. Aber das ist angesichts der Qualitäten dieses Bieres Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

22 September 2020. At Hotel Schwarzenberg, Glottertal. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy yellow, lasting, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of coriander, clove, margarine (not disturbing), banana, yellow apple, wheat, grass. Taste has sweetish banana & apple, butter accent returning, doughy body & some sour wheat. Spicy, grassy hoppy finish, subtle ripe fruit & sour wheat. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Not among the great Hefeweizens but feels authentic.
