Aromas are dark malt is, cocoa and roast. Flavors are similar to nose with subtle coffee in back. Moderately sweet with good body and carbonation. Decent but nothing special

Poured dark w/very little head. Lots of coffee and chocolates of course. Malts, not much hops. Good to great.

Tap. Really great beer. Deep, dark coffee color with a light brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate with hints of coffee and vanilla. Taste is like a delicious bittersweet chocolate. Nice.

Smells like vanilla chocolate cake, with a cup of espresso, with quite a bit of booze in the background. No hops. Lots of charred malts. Incredibly sweet, cloying. Now way im finishing this bomber. If you have diabetes this beer ia putting you into a coma.

Notes from May 2009 Growler from Whole Foods. An unexpected ST tasting after hitting New Beer. Great way to start off the weekend. :) Poured into a generic tumbler. The description stated a blend(listed ingredients for Jahva & Choklat match). The server couldn't quite put the two words new & beer together, but denied & assured us that is was not a blend. Color was a leathery black, with a thin, but frothy, dark tan head. Well just from the smell, it seems unfamiliar. Chocolate dominates, but not like the Belgian chocolate found on Choklat. This smells like sugary milk chocolate, white sugar, cocoa mix, & lactose. A little similar to Nesquik. On the edges, just a twinge of coffee & grass. Good & soothing, but not complex or irresistible. Taste is of grainy, sugary milk chocolate up front, with lots of smooth lactose. Clean caramel, it hints with grain past the middle, coffee just barely peaking through(no bitter roast or earthy/ground flavors, but so much less then expected), & ends on an obvious cascade note that works really well. Feel is decent. Somewhat of an oat-y feel, with an overall hearty body. Carbonation is mild to strong, simulating a little acidity. The lack of alcohol I think is the most drastic thing here though. Like a Bailey's with ice, the alcohol buries itself in the overall sweetness. Choklat, as good as it is, just can't drink this easy. Taste was almost irresistible. $16.99 for 64 ounces(plus glass)... err. Better then $9 for a bottle, but still something I just can't do much of. ...I remember when UnEarthly was $5.49.

Bottle. A- Chocolate, earthy, espresso. A- Black color, dark liquid, minimal head. T- Espresso, roast, chocolate, slightly bitter P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly dry finish, O- A bit drier and less sweet than I anticipated. Pretty earthy but good. Not exactly what I was after as I wanted a more dessert like brew but it's clearly well made.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque dark brown color. Frothy tan head. Subtle aroma of coffee and cocoa. Flavor is sweet chocolate, vanilla and coffee. It’s sweet, but not overly so. Some underlying bitterness comes through in the middle and finish. Smooth and extremely drinkable. Flavors develop as the beer warms. Charred wood notes emerge. Tasty.

Bottle. Almost black and opague. Chocolate and Mon Chéri bonbons in the aroma and flavor. Espresso coffee hiding behind the cheap chocolate fountain. Tia Maria liquor. Strong stuff!,
