This is the finest, purest black cocoa straight from the source: the rugged mountains of Brazil, where chocolate is life. We smuggled these beans back to our brewhouse, where they were blended with creamy milk porter and fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans. Get cocoa'd up.

Funky Buddha continues their reign of terror on beer loves with another concoction. Overly sweet chocolate, milky texture. Dark garnet color. Some nuttiness, but mostly its really sweet.

Draught @ CBC2015. Pours viscous brownish black with a small mocha head that leaves some spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sugary and malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, dark bread, cocoa powder, dark roast coffee, moist soil and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and tiny fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny syrupy, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, burnt caramel, cocoa, dark roast coffee, raisins, moist soil and hints of alcohol and red pears. Solid stout...

Draft at Craft Beer Co. Clapham during Route CBC - London. Pours clear, dark brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds roasted malts, coffee, earth. Medium sweet flavor with cheap-tasting cocoa, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary on the finish with more lightly artificial chocolate, moderate roast. So so overall. (October 2015, score 3.3) Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Thought it was good, a bit better than original rating. (May 2014, score: 3.5)

Tap at Route CBC. It pours darkest brown-black with a decent white head. The nose is rich chocolate, dark chocolate cake, toasty, salted caramel, rocky road and a touch of glace cherry. The taste is rich, dark chocolate, gateaux, slight creaminess, earthy roast, toast and coffee grounds with a smooth finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Well-rounded and very drinkable indeed. Tasty.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a nice dark brown color with a dark tan head. Aroma was notes of solid chocolate. Flavor was like melted bittersweet chocolate. Finish had some milky chocolate.
