Lustrous is a golden, effervescent and refreshing farmhouse ale with a kiss of orange peel. For Lustrous Gigantic wanted to bring a summer twist to saison by adding orange peel and dry hopping with Mandarina Bavaria hops. Fermented with French saison yeast, the beer has bright citrus, with peppery and floral notes with a dry finish.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is fruity, citrus, Belgian saison yeast, malt, touch of bubblegum. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. More like a strong american Saison. Anyway, it’s pretty good.

Bottle split at Cotts Convention V, picked up at the previous years GBBF IIRC, 08/06/19. Hazed golden orange with a well presented off white covering. Nose is peach, grass, yeast esters, breads, hint of bubblegum. Taste comprises apricot, Belgian yeast esters, grape must, straw, candied fruit rinds, peach, green berry tang. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent.

Bottle at Cotts 2019. Sweet and hazy citrus and caramel aroma. Hazy pale gold. Thick creamy translucent white head. Sweet. Develops a chemical edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Wasn't overly keen on this - it was fine but tasted almost synthetic to me.

Shared at the Cotteridge Convention 2019. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, tropical fruits, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet, with a light, crisp, fruity, yeasty, oaky, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
