Spiced malt nose, with a touch of caramel. Taste dominated by spiced malt with a roasty and biscuity finish. Some deep brown sugar, molasses and dark fruit with solid bitterness in the finish.

Re rate via bottle. Poured reddish brownish, pretty clear. Very floral aroma, but strong maltiness also in the taste. A noticeable beer.

I got this in a trade with goaliepride. Thanks Michael!
It pours a hazy(that turns cloudy after the first pour) reddish brown with a good 2 finger head of foam. A couple of minutes into the session and there's a lot of shrinkage but there's still a solid layer in my glass and there's some good lacing.
The smell is nice and hoppy(citrus) and has a faint roasted malt nose.
The taste on first sip and I'm getting a lot hoppy goodness...citrus and pine dominate. A few more sips in and I start to notice the malt, both roasted and caramel, and it brings some nice balance to this Red Ale. Tasty stuff here.
It has a pretty full mouthfeel to it for a Red, the carbonation is medium light, and it finishes slightly bitter with some bready tones. Very easy to drink and really satisfying. A top notch example of the style, me thinks. I'm glad I have another bottle but I know it won't be long before I pop the cap on *that* one.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, drunk in the comfort of my own dwelling. It’s a deep brownish amber, clear with a magnificent off-white head. Lovely aroma: cherries, a touch of cinnamon, some glorious resinous esters. Sweet taste at first but the hoppy bitterness creates a barrier of dryness. Chocolate berry notes with an almost patchouli note in the aftertaste. Carbonation is extremely high. A magnificent creation.

0.355l bottle. Hazy dark orange body with a thick beige head. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit, pine, rose hips and toast. Taste of toast, caramel, grapefruit and pine. Light medium bodied with average carbonation. The grapefruit-like bitterbess stays for a long time after the sip. Very nice beer.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 10/28/2016. Pours slightly hazy dark ruby red color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, light pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and minimal hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth moderately sticky/creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding hoppy red ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.
