From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first brewhouse in the first space to these coordinates on the cone of space-time; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. Now we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero’s path, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to leave our footprints on it’s path into history- at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Obey those Buds! Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks, People Mumble!

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had an orange/amber/slightly brown colored body with a two finger white foamy head that rises a bit and then falls leaving a decent amount of clingy foamy lacing in its wake.
The smell had a very caramel-forward, and a decent amount of breadiness, hopped just enough to keep the \"hopheads\" satisfied on this brew.
The taste had caramel flavored hops - well balanced, holey moley, very well balanced, caramel aftertaste, no finish.
On the palate, it sat about a medium, uh - maybe sessionable - perhaps.
The carbonation seemed good for the style and for me, becomes slightly creamy.
Overall, this is a very flavorful American Red Ale that is quite impressive with intriguing characteristics, well balanced, and I would most likely come back to this.

Draft - Huge earthy orange hops and caramel. Clear amber with a rich beige head. Sweet caramel malts and again the earthy malt profile. Bitterness is in the finish but the huge front end sweetness is nice. Almost like an American barleywine.

22oz bottle pour; pale auburn. My wife had a taste and asked to share the bottle. Classic Lagunita taste: balanced hops, bitterness and malts. Light sweetness. High ABV is covered by the smooooth taste. I will definitely buy again.

Draft. From notes. Bitter with pine and citrus. A good dose of caramel for the backbone. I’ll drink this again.

$4.95 for the 22oz bottle. Bottled the 187th day of 2013 which is July 6th.
A- it pours a clear copper with a 2 finger head of foam.(served cool not cold) It looks to have some good lacing.
S- I get loads of bread and caramel malt in the nose. The label says this clocks in at 76.92 IBUs. I don’t get any hop aroma but it’s not unusual for the style and the DIPA style to have the hops kind of hidden.
T- before I get to the taste, I have to mention how thickish and syrupy the beer is upon first taste.
This is very sweet with notes of bread but there’s a hop presence that I’d say was oily/resiny that adds a bit of light bitterness, maybe not enough or...this is an Old Ale style so I’m not turned off by the lack of bitterness.
M- thick, creamy bordering on syrup like, there’s not a lot of carbonation going on for being this fresh. Cellaring would cut down the carbo even more so I guess I’ll drink them when they are fresh.
O- A pretty tasty example of the style and I’ll have another, please. A good price helps. ;^)

8.65% about 1300 yen from CBB. A deep reddish amber color with an off-white head & a strong hoppy aroma showcasing herbal notes, citrus, pine & a touch of spice. A very balanced beer, a bitter start followed by the full malty body that then mellows into a spicy, citrus & just plain delicious beer. Maybe not something that will knock your socks off but it is definitely above average & something I’d be happy to drink all night long. Really good. I tried this beer in a tulip & snifter. The tulip was less complex & highlighted the bitterness while the snifter delivered more flavors & sweetness which was by far superior.

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13. Dark golden amber with a good sized light beige head. Nose is juicy hops, pine resin, bitter grpaefruit, orange, light floral notes, caramel malts. Taste comprises juicy hops, pine resiin, candied sugars, orange pith, grapefruit. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, sticky resinous finish. Great stuff - had this down as a DIPA - plenty of hops going down in this one!

Amber in color with thick foamy head. Sticky lacing coats the glass. Citrusy aroma of grapefruit, citrus strong in the taste also. No hint at the alcohol, this one is almost all hops, yet surprisingly smooth.
