Nose is loaded with Belgian yeast character of banana and clove with an equally fruity body balanced with a light, earthy hop character. Savor notes of orange and spice followed by a dry finish.

Bananas on the nose, copper color. Spicy banana and bubblegum sweet flavor with a spicy clove and alcohol finish. Good example of a tripel.

Crowler from Brewdog Inverurie. It pours rich oily deep gold with a nice fluffy white head. The aroma is rich and toothy, cereal, spicy, herbal almost, ginger & honey, rich maltage, farmhouse bread and hay. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich, oily, slick, earthy, honeyed grain, ginger & honey tea, toothy, bready malts, herbal, grass, orange peel and big old slap of boozy boost with a spicy and dry woody finish. Medium+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Punchy, spicy and herbal. Not bad.

Keg at Brewdog shepherds Bush. A light hazed dull golden orange coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is semi sweet, caramel, toffee, vanilla, pale malts, little waxy,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, caramel malts, honey, mild Belgian yeast, clove, alcohol bite, little toffee apple notes. Palate is semi sweet, too sweet, little oaky tannin, mellow carbonation. Meh.

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.
12 oz. can.
AROMA: Scents of cloves and cinnamon with undertones of banana and lemon.
APPEARANCE: Pours a clear, straw-gold color with a tall, tight, frothy head that dissipates at a moderate pace with some average lacing.
TASTE: Moderately sweet with just a touch of sourness on the backend. Clove is the predominant flavor (though, not overpoweringly so) followed by banana and spice.
MOUTHFEEL: Body is on the thin side. Not watery, but not hefty enough to be considered medium. Texture is smooth with a touch of slickness. Carbonation is mild and the finish is medium.
OVERALL: The flavors in this beer are not super bold, but you can definitely taste them without much effort. Although, I do feel like they are a little watered-down. I would especially like to have just a bit more banana flavor. I truly was expecting to really like this beer, but as I drink it, I am just feeling "meh" about it. In the end, I wish the flavors were a little more amped up, it had a skosh more body, and that it had more carbonation.
Don't get me wrong, this is not a "bad" beer by any means (in fact, I will probably have another right after I finish this review). It's just that I've had way better Belgian Tripels, and know that there is room for improvement.

Keg tap at BrewDog Leicester. Dark gold, slightly hazy with an uneven ring of white head. Butterscotch, vanilla, hay, floral notes on the nose with a layer of candy sugar. Taste doesn't come together as well. It's sweet to the point of cloying, with some hoppy kickback in the finish. More hay and a touch of TCP in the finish. Tastes more like an imperial golden than a Tripel, although it's enjoyable enough it isn't Victoria's greatest, erm, victory.
