Los Chaskis eran los mensajeros que recorrían todo el imperio incaico con energía y potencia que solo podrían recuperar con una cerveza artesanal como esta, hecha con poderosas maltas tostadas que le dan sabores a café y chocolate oscuro.

In my opinion, it is a pleasant porter. The color is black, thin foam, average carbonation, roastes malt, hop, dry, simply good, drinking it in Peru in some opportunities, finding it at the Metro, Collique, Comas.

330ml bottle at Erik's. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt with some chocolate and fruity notes. Taste is similar, on the sour side though. Meh.

Tasting at Black Metal West
Dark color, near black; large head, short persistence. Smell of glue and wet cardboard. Dry and metallic, with roasted nuts notes and some dirt, some earthy character; light liquorice.

Light brown. There's a harsh plastic phenol blast, with some molasses and a little bit of toastiness. Fizzy, brown sugar/molasses taste. Low bitterness, quite a bit of sweetness. Not getting much toast or roast, so this might be better as a brown ale.

A reddish brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with light coffee notes, light grassy hops, pleasant. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with light grain notes, light grassy hops, OK.

Bottle shared at Mikkeller and Friends. Thanks Juan! Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige foam. Lots of roasted coffee and chicory on the nose. Toasted almond milk and more roasted chicory on the palate. Bitter and dry finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Barbarian Chaski Porter on 22 Oct 2016 at 18:03 - Score: 7. Original review text: Thanks Juan! Nice and roasty. Medium body. Very nice!

12oz goblet at the Parque Kennedy location pours a murky, deep brown with some ringing, cream colored head. Nose has molasses, malt, a little cola, a little coffee, a little raw chocolate. Flavor is solid, roasty but not bitter or overpowering, bread, turbinado sugar, molasses, a little coffee, a little cocoa powder. Medium bodied and dry in the finish. Very well done.
