Come one come all! A tribute to the language barrier from international collaboration & inspired by our affinity for a Danish runner’s scarf & shorts. This Bloody Show is a crisp, tart pilsner drenched with the juice & zest of blood oranges. The result is a refreshingly tart lager with big citrus aroma worthy of even the hippest of Danish drinkers.

Can. When I had this beer I had no idea Mikkeller was involved with it. It was a very juicy, tasty fruity beer.

Backlog May 2017. Clear, dark brown, almost black body under a fine, dense, beige head. Aroma has dark malt and a mild touch of chocolate. Taste is a bit dry, with dark malt, acidic coffee, milk chocolate and balanced bitterness. Fine body and nice coffee flavor in aftertaste.

Bright amber colour with a medium head. Mellow nose of malts. Light body, light orange note. Sort of malty, toasty, but not great balance.

16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/16/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy/lightly tart blood oranges, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of blood oranges/zest, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart blood oranges, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/citrus peel/grassy/spicy bitterness and blood orange tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart blood oranges, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of blood oranges/zest, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tartness. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/tangy/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very good fruited Czech pilsner style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of blood oranges/zest, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink, with the mildly tart/bitter/drying finish. Hits the Czech pilsner base style really well; with the addition of some Citrus/fruity American hops along with the blood orange/zest. A very enjoyable and unique offering.

Off white thin head left a smattering on a hazy, slowly effervescent, dark orange coloured body. Big aroma of orange & yeast. Medium to thin bodied, finely carbonated & clean on the finish. The body is really lacking - even for a lager. Bitter/Sweet orange overrides all tastes in this. There's faint lager tastes on the back but that's about it.

16 oz can from Mount Royal in MN. Aroma is orange, orange peel, grain, chalky candy, a bit herbal. Pours clear deep golden with a decent bone-white head with good retention. Taste is lightly sweet, a hint of tartness from the fruit, and fairly bitter for a lager. The oranges aren’t in your face and are pretty subtle. Reminds me of certain blood orange pale ales and IPAs, but a bit different by using a hoppy pilsner base instead. Interesting and tasty.
