Come one come all! A tribute to the language barrier from international collaboration & inspired by our affinity for a Danish runner’s scarf & shorts. This Bloody Show is a crisp, tart pilsner drenched with the juice & zest of blood oranges. The result is a refreshingly tart lager with big citrus aroma worthy of even the hippest of Danish drinkers.

Ever so slightly hazy light amber and copper coloured body with a decent, three to four centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of grass, light floral notes, some small hops and a touch of sugars. Light to Medium-bodied; Bitter funky flavour with medicinal and metallic flavours at first, some mellow sugars and fruit notes and a biscuity malt bite that shows the lager yeast and a touch of additional fruits. Aftertaste shows the medicinal and funky fruit flavours with very little else and no complexity at all. Overall, a decent beer at best with some bitter orange flavours at the end and some medicinal and funky lager notes throughout. Definitely not worth trying or spending a premium on this one - it’s rated highly just from the label and name on the front of the can - this is not very good, period. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint can purchased from Beer Run in Charlottesville, Virginia on 26-February-2017 for US$3,75 sampled at home in Washington on 09-May-2017.

Sampled from tap at ’Craftbeer Corner Coeln’. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, fruity-grassy and a bit floral aroma of blood orange, hibiscus, some straw and a touch of grains. Slightly sweetish, moderately bitter, quite fruity, moderately grassy and a bit floral taste of grains, straw, blood orange and some hibiscus, followed by a medium long, rather dry-bitter, slightly grassy finish. Medium body, moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not bad, but not really my thing.

Mild fruchtig herber Beginn. Trocken, eher muffig hopfig. Die Blutorangennoten gefallen, verleihen dem Pils aber nur kurzfristig einen frischen Touch. Laffer Nachhall. 8/7/8/7//8
