Aromas of coriander, cloves, yeast and lemon over a dirty straw body with a smallish head that dies down pretty fast. Flavor is similar, but much weaker than I would expect from something that touts itself as a Belgian Wheat. This leaves a very crisp and drinkable beer and the spicesreally dominate flavor.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a very hazy, pale golden with a small, creamy, white head. Spicy, somewhat gingery nose. Very light-bodied, citrusy notes and a lightly medicinal, herbal edge. No real bitterness, but very fresh and quenching. 110606

Hazy bright blonde color with thin white head. Typical Belgium aroma of sweet fruit, spice and yeast. Nice flavor initially. The wheat hits first then it rolls into a sour and bitter flavor. The sour and bitterness fade as the beer is further consumed. Fresh tasting and refreshing hot summer day beer.

Paid $1.50 for a 12-oz bottle. Very cloudy pale yellow with a 2" head. Not much of an aroma, but what’s there is very lemony. Flavor is full of tartness, but no defined lemon or other citrus flavor. Light on the spices and almost no finish.

A very good wit. They got the color right; heavily carbonated with a small head, but it lacks sediment. Sour citrus and wheat in the aroma. Flavor of light spices, sweet fruit, and citrus, but not sour at all. On the light side. Sweet wheat finish with a grapefruit aftertaste.

Bottle. Clove and bubblegum aroma - fairly subtle. Pale yellow color - slightly cloudy with little head. Light clove, banana, and apricot with moderate acidity and mild carbonation and bitterness. Nice smooth drinking witbier on the light side.

I am fond of this style of beer. Sampled this one from a 12 oz brown bottle. Poured a cloudy medium golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is sweet citrus. The flavor is strong spice - maybe pepper - and moderate fruitiness - almost standard orange and some banana. The finish is crisp and dry. Well done.

Pours a frothy white head over a clear light yellow body. Lemon spice aroma. Lightly sweet but very subdued flavor. Light palate, thin and lacking in depth. Very disappointed in this one, I have had some other witbiers that were not bad and this is way below Avery’s usual high level of standards.
