Awesome. Red/yellow/sharp/crisp apples; fruit peel/herbal/hay/straw/grass/yeast earth/lt pepper. Semidry/semicrisp carb. Lingering acid/tannins. No harshness. Refreshingly smooth. Awesome apple complexity/balance w/ yeast character. Loved it.

Can. A- Dry, apples, sweet. A- Gold color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Apples, sweet. P- Light body, average texture, high carbonation, lively finish. O- Very nice cider. Lots of crisp apple and a balanced sweetness. A bit high in the carbonation department but otherwise good. The touch of dryness helped. Almost felt like a bit of brown sugar in there too along with some subtle melon perhaps. Wife loved it.

12 ounce can. Hazy copper, thin fizzy head, decent retention. Aroma of sweet, followed by dry apples, bits of spice. The taste is tart apples, hints of earth. Thin bodied, a bit of sweetness.

Tap at Gambrinus. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Starts off sweet, then a little bit of tartness and yeast character comes through. Not bad, but could use more yeast notes and dryness. Easy drinking and better than most available ciders here though.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this cider poured a hazy vibrant golden color with a small soapy-foamy white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was dryish with apple flesh and a bit of dustiness. The flavor was dryish and dusty with slightly tart apple flesh. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Draught at Lulu’s on 3/27/16 and again at Row 34 on 4/8/16.
A slightly chill-hazed golden beer with a hint of copper and a small ring of bubbles initially.
For anyone keeping track at home, I don’t actually order all of these ciders that I rate. That is, in fact, my girlfriend always ordering them at beer bars (since she hasn’t taken to the sour and hoppy stuff yet) and me having a few sips. What to say about this one? Not much, really. Just like every other god damned commercial cider out there, it’s fizzy, too sweet (though not horribly so) and just vaguely apple-y with no real definitive character and nothing to set it apart from the literal thousands of other offerings.
What the hell is going on with this massive exponentially growing cider market? It seems people just can not get enough of boring, mediocre, ubiquitous, cookie-cutter microbrewed and often macrobrewed ciders. To their credit, they’re a hell of a step up from Strongbow and the likes, but still leave so, so much to be desired. Seems like everyone and their mom had the idea to start a cidery since they are relatively easier to make and require less knowledge and specialization than making beer. Oh well, hopefully we start to see some more small batch, actual farmhouse or farmhouse-style version emerge. As it is now, most or all of the "farmhouse-style" ciders I’ve had from US producers are really not that at all.

Sample at Kraft House No. 5 during the "Rhinegeist Brewery Tap Takeover" on 02/25/2016. This Cider is a clear pale golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of apple cider and spice. Medium body with flavors of semi-sweet apples, champagne and spice. The finish is dry and fruity with a mildly tart apple aftertaste. Decent overall.
